An immersion heater is an electric heating element that is directly immersed in a liquid (such as water, oil, or chemicals) to heat it. It works by converting electrical energy into heat, which transfers directly into the liquid surrounding the element.

Immersion heaters are widely used because they provide efficient, direct heating and can be easily installed in tanks, containers, or pipelines.

Types of Immersion Heaters

• Screw Plug Immersion Heaters – Screwed directly into a threaded opening in a tank or pipe coupling.

• Flange Immersion Heaters – Attached to the tank wall with a bolted flange, suitable for larger tanks.

• Over-the-Side Immersion Heaters – Hung over the edge of a tank, ideal when no openings are available.
