FITS LIGHT NORDIC CREW SOCKS

This is the sock we trust for Nordic skiing here at Howl. It’s identical in design to the Light Hiker Crew—just labeled differently. The Medium Hiker Crew also works well, provided your ski boots aren’t too snug. Just like with alpine skiing, cramming a thick sock into a tight-fitting boot can actually make your feet colder by restricting circulation.

Cross-country skiing generates a lot of body heat, so even in very cold conditions, you don’t need overly bulky insulation. For those with poor circulation or chronically cold feet, we recommend insulated outer boot covers (see below). They provide added warmth without compromising boot fit or performance—keeping you stable, balanced, and warm.
