NORTHFACE FREEDOM BIB - TNF BLACK-NPF

The Freedom Bib is a high-performance ski/snowboard bib pant designed for all-mountain use. Built with a waterproof shell, reinforced areas and multiple adjustment features, it’s designed to keep you dry, mobile and comfortable in harsh winter or alpine conditions. The “NPF” designation stands for non-PFAS (i.e., no per-fluorinated chemicals used in its durable water-repellent finish), reflecting a more environmentally conscious treatment. The TNF Black colourway gives it a sleek, versatile look that pairs easily with outerwear.

Materials & Construction

• The outer shell is made from DryVent™ 2-layer fabric (for instance, 160 D × 140 D 133 g/m²) in 100 % recycled nylon, with fully taped seams for waterproofness. 

• The fabric is treated with a non-PFC durable water-repellent (DWR) finish (“-NPF” version) to help shed light moisture. 

• Reinforced kick-patches and hem areas made from tougher nylon (e.g., 500 D 235 g/m²) to resist abrasion from boots, slopes and gear. 

• Features “Chimney Venting™” system: inner-thigh mesh-lined vents and mesh gaiter panels for ventilation when you’re working hard or conditions warm up. 

• Adjustable straps: Suspenders (bib style) + adjustable waist tabs + belt loops so you can tailor fit and layering. 

• Cargo pockets, hand pockets (secure zip), chest or thigh pockets with hook-and-loop closures for gear storage.

Considerations

• Because it is a bib style, it may feel more substantial and layered than regular pants—so if you prefer a lighter or lower‐profile ski pant you may feel extra bulk.

• While waterproof and durable, in extremely heavy snow or long downpours you may still want additional waterproof shells or layering depending on conditions.

• The black colour, while versatile, may show lint, dust or wear more readily than lighter shades—maintenance may help preserve appearance.

• As with any tailored winter bib, make sure the inseam, waist adjustment and leg length match your layering and boot setup; check sizing especially for tall or short variants.
